As each of us sees the world differently, the artist shows the world uniquely to us and thereby changes our view as well.  This is the gift of the artist, the drive to express the inner vision which expands our experience as we look upon it.  For the artist, there is the vocabulary of expression, translation, creation, and a captured eloquence.  For the viewer, there is colour, shape, texture, and something held within those elements: the emotional presence of the author.  Sometimes, it speaks directly to us.
